Or  &#8211; perhaps more accurately &#8211;  we tend to judge new urban media tech in retrospect, through lenses tainted in nostalgia for an ideal type urban society that never really was, or at least not for everybody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, i wanted to also repost an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/gig-economy-worker-owned-apps\/#intcid=_wired-bottom-recirc_597a6a5d-9fe4-4c7b-9f43-c90d7a30e42f_similar2-3-reranked-by-vidi\">item from Wired<\/a> that strikes a more optimistic tone, on co-ops in the so-called \u2018sharing economy\u2019. I am not convinced this is <em>the<\/em> answer to exploitative labor and other woes, but at least commons-based collaborations have been tried and tested.
